Lorac Beauty and the Beast Cheek Palette Review & Swatches

The only blush palette you’ll need in your makeup life this Summer is the Lorac Beauty and the Beast Cheek Palette ($28). I love this! I’ve been using it since I purchased it and absolutely adore how natural and gorgeous it looks on my complexion.

As you know Lorac recently teamed up with Disney to create a second collaboration inspired by the Beast and the Beast film quite soon after their recent Pirates of the Caribbean Collection. It’s pretty amazing they kept this collection under wraps! Typically social media has leaks of just about everything lately but the Lorac Beauty and the Beast Collection came as a great surprise when it launched on their site earlier this month.

The Lorac Beauty and the Beast Cheek Palette is available for a limited time and includes two new exclusive Lorac Color Source Buildable Blush shades and two new Light Source Illuminating Highlighters. This comes housed in a gold metallic box with the outline of a red rose on the cover. The palette is also a gorgeous gold lame with a raised almost embossed vine graphic decorating the front. Inside there’s a slim mirror with the words, “She was Fearless” written across the bottom. It’s a pretty presentation and much more feminine compared to the darker colors they went with for the Pirates Collection. At a glance I thought the blushes had a rose swirl design which reminded me of Ettusais Rose Cheek Color but it’s actually just a clear film that lays across the top of the blushes.

The blush shades are apparently inspired by the iconic rose that was featured in the film however, I didn’t quite feel these shades reminded me of roses but none the less they are all quite gorgeous shades that worked out well for me.

Shades include:

  • See Beyond (rich mauve shimmer)
  • Fearless (soft gold shimmer)
  • Enchanted (petal pink matte)
  • Rose (deep pink shimmer)

Lorac Beauty and the Beast Cheek Palette Swatches (See Beyond, Rose, Enchanted, Fearless)

Enchanted and See Beyond are the two blush shades and they sheerest shades in the palette. See Beyond is quite gorgeous on my light medium complexion with a very natural color pay off however, Enchanted was sheer but it actually shows up quite nicely on my skin. I’ve always love the soft, silky consistency Lorac Color Source Buildable Blush. They are powdery but easy to apply and look incredible on skin with a seamless finish.

Probably my favorite combination of shades, the one I’m wearing in this review, is using the Rose and Fearless together. I’m actually somewhat confused if Rose is one of the two Light Source Illuminating Highlighters but I’m leaning towards saying yes even though it works perfectly as a blush. I apply it first and dust on a little Fearless and the two shades create a gorgeous glow on my skin. The highlighters have a soft, velvety texture. I feel like the highlighters and blushes work well together without clashing. The softer shades of blush pair up nicely with the more dramatic shades of highlighter!

I don’t know if this selection will work for all skin tones but I was quite happy with the results on my own and I’m considering grabbing a back up.

The Lorac Beauty and the Beast Cheek Palette gets a Muse Approval. These soft, gorgeous selection of shades are easy to work with and create a pretty luminous natural look on my cheeks and face.

Love it.
