NARS Orgasm X Cheek Palette Review & Swatches

Oh my gosh my review of the new NARS Orgasm X Cheek Palette is so late coming as this released months ago but we were so deep into the pandemic I just wasn’t very up for reviewing new products! But now that Summer is here and the heat is on full force I hauled this baby out and I’m in love! The palette features the newest Orgasm Blush called Orgasm X that released a few months ago. The shade is permanent but this palette features it along with Orgasm Highlighting Powder and Orgasm Blush.

You know me, I love Orgasm with a passion! It’s one of my favorite blush shades but it isn’t for everyone. Some people feel like it’s too shimmery but I’m all about shimmer so bring it on. I also just generally love golden peachy pink shades of blush! I find them very flattering on my skin tone!

Let’s take a peek at the NARS Orgasm X Cheek Palette below!

NARS Orgasm X Cheek Palette pays home to three shades each of which is 0.11 oz in size for a total of 0.33 oz of product at $42. A single NARS Blush is $30 at 0.16 oz. This is a great value as you’re not only getting variety but also, a good deal of product for the price of one blush and an extra $12.

The palette arrives in a black plastic compact with the standard NARS emblem on the front in a shiny black and Orgasm X in a golden pink tone overlaid over the emblem. NARS has pretty phased put much of their old, gross rubberized packaging and replaced it with lighter plastic compacts that don’t attract dirt and fingerprints as badly as their old packaging did.

Inside you’ll find Orgasm Highlighter Powder on the left hand side which is a weird name for a shade that’s a golden champagne color. It’s not Orgasm-like at all so why they are calling it Orgasm Highlighter Powder is beyond me! This has a thicker, creamier texture that has a velvety feel which applies and blends easily. One thing to take note is this is a powder bomb so beware when swiping a brush through it. A light hand is needed and more is less to cast a beautiful golden glow on your cheeks.

In the middle, is Orgasm Blush which I’ve sung romantic songs about to you in the past so I went get to into that with you as you already know I love it and can look up my past reviews on the shade.

And finally, last but not least, is the new Orgasm X shade which is a stunning, vibrant coral! It’s a lot deeper and a bit warmer than the original shade and contains a heck of a lot less shimmer. You’ll get a nice luminous finish from this beauty but not a ton of excess shimmer. It’s soft, slightly powder but not dry nor chalky and the color blends out very nicely with smooth, even, seamless coverage. It’s a shade that will look incredible on medium to darker skin tones. It also wears like a champ with around ten plus hours of wear that didn’t fade.

The NARS Orgasm X Cheek Palette is a beautiful pick for Summer and comes with a Muse Approval. I just loved this palette and thought it was a great deal. If you’ve wanted but haven’t yet indulged in Orgasm X as a single shade purchase getting this palette will get you a bit more bang for your buck plus you’ll get to experience Orgasm X for yourself.

Taking into consideration a single blush from NARS is $30 plus 0.16 oz in size this makes this palette is a nice deal with a good deal of variety. I had no issues with the powders in this palette aside from the fact Orgasm X and Orgasm Highlighter were a powdery but not dry nor chalky. All the shades had a soft texture with a silky feel and blended flawlessly with excellent pigmentation and a beautiful wear of 10 plus hours.
